As I write this I think about the ultimate sacrifice that Dr. King made in order for me to live where I live, do what I do, and be who I am giving your life to a cause that you believe in is the most admiring thing that a person can do I myself, would tell you that it takes a better person than me to do that not that I am afraid to die for what I believe in it's more of the fact that I would leave my family unprotected and the pain that they would feel is what would hurt me for an eternity but there were many who gave their lives for this cause and that is what MLK Day is to me the movement that allowed us to be here at this point is what is important to me but the very thing that they sacrificed is being threatened by people who want to reverse this movement by "Making America Great Again" like it ever was great it shows you that we have made great strides but there is still a lot of work to be done because racism and bigotry is growing again and the sentiment of holding hands and singing negro spiritual songs is fading America and this world is at a standstill it is not unlike the history of this world to be at war it has been at war since the beginning of time when God created man and gave him free will to have ideas we are all different people whether it be race, color, or religion we look different and we think different as God made it so but hatred is a learned trait it festers it grows like a cancer and just when you think that you have it quarantined it spread again and there are people who are ecstatic about what they are seeing as people everyday from all walks of life are continuing to give their lives to senseless hateful violence I myself am not immune to this because if it comes down to my life or my family's life I will do the best that I can to defend them By Any Means Necessary" a term used by another great man in history and that is how I live my life I choose to defend those who are not strong enough to do so and I will continue to walk that path fighting every bully along the way God made us all we can all be great but we have a long way to go
