Is the music industry becoming too saturated? this is a question that is being asked on a regular basis as both a consumer of music and an independent artist and label owner I sometimes feel complex on one hand I am glad to see artists shine and get the attention that they deserve but on the other hand there is so much music that you rarely have time to enjoy a project from an artist before another one comes along there was a time where you would enjoy a particular album for a year or so before that artist would drop another project couple of features here and there and a tour before releasing another project that gave you time to hear what other artists were doing nowadays artists are releasing new music every 6 months or some kind of mixtape trying to keep their buzz going and I understand that things have changed and we are now more than ever a society built on now not later and that has changed how we view music as well as artists as the word "relevant" has become ever so prevalent these days and instead of making music that they like the artists are making music that they are told are popular when I make music I make music that I believe in and what I say I really mean there are no words being put in my mouth and I know that there are people who believe otherwise but as an artist you have to realize that you are in control of your career and in the end the choices that you make can have a long term effect
