It's been a while since I have had the time to write about my observations of the things that I see and hear, reason being that there is so much happening in the world today that today's news becomes yesterday's news real fast, as we talk about these things every day we try to get an understanding of how people feel about these topics and one of these topics that we've talked about on the Grown Men Podcast was “White Privilege” what is it?, and does it really exist, here is my take on this issue I believe wholeheartedly that it exists but not the way that most people think, what I believe is that some people think it has something to do with race but nowadays it has more to do with class and my brother Marc stated “All races and origins are now Identifying with ”White Privilege" and the reason for this is that a lot of people believe that they have worked hard to get where they are today and feel like all of these gains in life are based on hard work and stick to it ness and a lot of that may be true but there is another element to this, that kind of thinking makes you oblivious to what is going on outside of your bubble, because if you can't see it, you can't feel it, and what I mean by this is the plight of the other people who are working just as hard and have not had the breaks that are afforded to others does that mean that they didn't try hard enough? these are the things we have to consider when we discuss privilege now there are a lot of people who do feel that just because of their appearance they are better than you are even though your bank account may say different those are the ones that base their place in life off of the race that they are and there are others who truly believe “I got mine now go get yours” all this while making money off of the same people that you are putting down this is always a talking point because everyone has an opinion on this issue but the way I see it some people truly believe that they are better than others based on their race, position, or how much money they have, look all of these things are factors to why white privilege exists but now that not so exclusive club has more unexpected members.
