As I sit here writing from my heart after everything that has been happening in the world right now it is hard to know how to feel of course there is anger there is grief there is pain and all of these emotions are being shown by the actions of many they say that if you are not part of the solution then you are part of the problem don't know if that is true or not all I can go by is what I have seen and what the history of the world has taught us we cannot solve our problems by ignoring them or pretending that they do not exist or that they will magically go away because they won't it will happen when we get so tired of this mess in which we created that we do something and in this country because we are not all celebrities we have one thing that we can use as our voice and that is our vote when I was younger I truly believed that voting didn't matter and at times I still struggle with the validity of voting but from the things that I have seen and heard I think that now more than ever we need to vote and not just vote and walk away but actively engage ourselves in what is going on when we elect these officials and hold them accountable when they don't do the things that they promised this is how we can change the world anything less is just a bunch of background noise that will fade away all of this starts with us we have the power now we just need to use it
