Carter G Woodson was one of the most influential people in the beginning of the civil rights movement born just ten years after slavery was abolished to parents that were illiterate has rose up from literally nothing to being one of the greatest men in history and he did this by not stopping never giving in to the narrative that black people were less than or inferior in any way and given the chance we could shine a contribute most to society as our white counterparts had done A well-educated man who was not willing to allow black people to be told that we were less than and if given the opportunity we could be just as good as anyone else so today we salute Carter G. Woodson a great man and a visionary for the future of black life in America
