Black Independence

The term “Black Independence” has been talked about for a very long time and yet it has never been implemented on a larger scale there are a lot of factors why this doesn't happen but, in my opinion, the main reason that it doesn't happen is because of trust we do not trust each other to do right by each other but this is nothing new in every endeavor there are bound to be trust issues and in this case there is no difference as far back as in the slavery days we did not trust each other because some of us were willing to die for our freedom while others were not and I try to put myself in both parties shoes and while I would be sympatric to the people who wanted to stay behind because that is what I inherited from my mother the selfishness that I inherited from my father would win out and it would make me want to branch out and be free this is what we are now facing with the prospect of the lunatic being re-elected now more than ever we need to get our act together and prepare for the worst because we have already been through this before and it was the worse four years of my life because of this I will try to put myself and my family in a better position to weather the storm and the way to do this is to support more black owned businesses keep black dollars in black pockets and in black neighborhoods funding for programs will be cut so we have to have minimum dependence on the government also we have to stop spending money in stores and corporations that do not have our best interest at heart and believe me I know that this is hard I am as guilty as the next person of not doing my due diligence when shopping at these stores we have to remember they need us more than we need them without black dollars they would be out of business we have to remember this in the 1960's when Rosa parks sat on the front of that bus she knew exactly what she was doing it sparked a movement and that movement said without black dollars your buses won't run so that black dollar is very powerful if we don't look after each other who will so I, myself will be doing more research and finding more black business so that I can do my part and creating independence and making us stronger than we have ever been before “Stay Committed”
