Black History Month 2022

Where do I begin, every year in the month of February we celebrate the history and achievements of black people all over the world and yet still having to have a month dedicated to the accomplishments of black people in itself tells you where we are today, take for instance down in Florida the Governor there is trying to strip away any celebrating of black history unless "it's our precious sports we can't live without that" any conversations that make white people uncomfortable are being eliminated and why is this one answer "diversity" the world is changing and it will continue to change but the history of how we got to this place in the world is a long hard road with a lot of disappointments along the way but so many people did so many things that allow me to be able to live the life that I currently live, just stop and imagine if they quit and said it's too hard where would we be today, black people aren't free just because all of a sudden they said "hey let these people free" no there was a fight every step of the way to get to where we are today so when I think of black history I think of them because if not for them there would be no me so as we celebrate black history think about all of the people who fought for us to be able to continue to make history.
